Packham’s Triumph pear tree produces pears with fine, melting flesh, fairly similar in quality to Williams.
This variety is well suited to those who enjoy Williams pears and want to extend the season with a later pear of similar eating quality.
The fruit is picked during the second half of September and can keep for a few weeks.
Packham’s Triumph can be susceptible to scab, with no other particular sensitivity noted.
Flowering is early. Packham’s Triumph pollinates well with Williams.
This pear variety comes from a cross between Belle Angevine and Williams, made in Australia at the end of the nineteenth century. It has since spread widely around the world.
We produce this grafted pear tree on several rootstocks, which influence the vigour and final size of the mature tree. It is available in several tree forms depending on availability.
