Asian pear trees

One of Japan’s classic nashi cultivars, producing golden-russeted fruit with exceptionally juicy, tender flesh, high sugar and very little acidity.

A late Japanese Asian pear producing exceptionally large brown-russeted fruit with crisp, juicy, sweet flesh. Highly productive and especially valued for fruit size and long storage life.

A rare Asian pear maintained under the name ‘Sao Zu Li’. Its exact pomological identity remains uncertain and reliable published descriptions under this spelling are extremely limited.

An old Chinese Asian pear with large golden-russeted fruit, crisp white flesh and a rich sweet aromatic flavour. Very early flowering, late ripening and useful in colder orchards where fire blight resistance matters.

An early Japanese Asian pear with golden-brown russeted fruit, crisp juicy flesh and a rich sweet-tart flavour. Excellent eating quality and one of the earliest classic nashi cultivars.

A rare pear maintained under the name ‘Taigan Beauty’. The name appears to be linked with the Russian expression ‘Taezhnaya Krasavitsa’ or ‘Beauty of the Taiga’, associated with Ussurian pear, but the exact cultivar identity remains uncertain.
