Choosing the right quince tree

Quince trees are generally self-fertile and flower relatively late, but cultivars differ considerably in ripening season, aroma, culinary qualities and their behaviour under humid conditions. Rootstock choice also influences mature size, soil adaptation and time to first cropping.
