Du Quesnoy quince tree produces medium to large quinces with a good fragrance.
This is a local variety, long present in the Nord department of France, more specifically around Le Quesnoy.
The fruit is harvested in November and can be stored until December.
Quince is mainly a fruit for processing, where it reveals its full aroma. Its skin is rich in pectin, making it well suited to jams and useful in mixtures with other fruits.
Disease sensitivity is average.
Flowering takes place in May, and Du Quesnoy is not particularly exposed to late frost damage.
We supply Du Quesnoy as a one-year maiden quince tree, grafted on Provence quince rootstock.
