Kravnicka pear tree produces small red-fleshed pears. The flesh is slightly juicy, sweet and has a distinctive spicy flavour, unusual among pears.
Red-fleshed pears are much rarer than red-fleshed apples. Kravnicka is described as one of the few that is good for fresh eating.
The fruit is picked from late August to September and can be stored until December.
Kravnicka has good resistance to scab.
Flowering is early. Kravnicka pollinates well with Beurré d’Anjou.
This pear variety originates from Eastern Europe. Its small fruit size makes it especially interesting for collectors or orchards where originality is desired.
We produce this grafted pear tree on several rootstocks, which influence the vigour and final size of the mature tree. It is available in several tree forms depending on availability.
