Jeanne d’Arc is a good storage pear, but not the easiest cultivar to manage ally. Picked in late September or early October, it develops melting, juicy, exceptionally sweet and pleasantly tangy flesh in November and December. Moderate vigour suits smaller or trained forms. Cropping can be irregular, and high susceptibility to pear scab demands a genuinely favourable growing position.
