Beurre Lebrun is a high-quality French dessert pear, with a fine sweet flesh. It ripens in late August / early September - watch for the colour changing from green to golden-green.

This variety was raised in the 1850s by Mr Guenoit, a nurseryman from Troyes in eastern France. It is a popular French garden variety, and also known as Le Brun.
