Our Variety Assessment
Its strengths, growing requirements and the conditions in which it performs best.
Beurré Superfin fully deserves its name when growing conditions suit it. The flesh is exceptionally fine, melting and abundantly juicy, with a refreshing balance of sweetness, gentle acidity and pronounced aroma. The tree is vigorous and hardy, but the fruit needs sunshine and a sheltered position to develop its full quality. In a poor position, the cultivar becomes much less convincing.
