Tipala Plum Tree is an attractive plum variety producing beautiful golden-yellow fruit with exceptionally juicy flesh and rich aromatic sweetness. The stone separates easily from the flesh, making the fruit suitable for fresh eating as well as cooking and drying.
This productive variety is particularly appreciated for its very healthy foliage and strong resistance to diseases, including excellent tolerance to Plum Pox Virus (Sharka).
The fruit ripens progressively from late July to late August, allowing an extended harvest period over several weeks. Tipala flowers during mid-season and pollinates well with varieties such as Reine Claude d’Althan and Goutte d’Or de Coe.
Our Tipala plum trees are grafted onto various rootstocks, allowing different vigour levels and tree forms depending on orchard or garden requirements.
Tipala is known for its generous early productivity, often beginning to crop from the third year after planting under good growing conditions.
