Rosette is one of the most enjoyable early red-fleshed apples for fresh eating. Its crisp flesh is marbled pink, red and white and has a delicate sweet-sharp flavour with raspberry notes. The compact tree crops heavily and has useful general disease resistance. Picked around mid-August, the apples keep for only about one week and should be eaten or pressed promptly.
