Api Rose Apple Tree is a very old apple variety, part of the historic Api group, appreciated for its small, attractive and long-keeping fruit.
The apples are small, round and slightly flattened, with pale yellow skin becoming bright rose-red to carmine on the sunny side. The flesh is white, crisp, sweet and pleasantly aromatic, with flavour that improves during storage.
Api Rose is generally harvested from September to October and can be kept for several months, often becoming more enjoyable from winter onwards.
The tree has moderate vigour and can be productive, making it suitable for traditional orchards, gardens and trained forms such as cordons or goblets.
This variety is particularly interesting for collectors and heritage orchards looking for a decorative old apple with good storage qualities and refined flavour.
