Ananas Reinette is distinguished by the exotic flavour of its small golden-yellow apples, genuinely reminiscent of pineapple. The fine, tender and sweet flesh is excellent for eating and can also be used for juice and cooking. This hardy cultivar is relatively easy to grow. The apples improve after picking and develop their full aroma during winter storage.

Ananas Reinette originates from the Netherlands in the early 19th century, and is quite widely grown in northern Europe.
The pretty yellow apples have a crisp juicy flesh, with an interesting sweet/sharp flavour with a strong hint of pineapple.
Ananas Reinette is obviously quite similar to the English variety called Pitmaston Pine Apple, and it is possible it might be related to it.
