Marie Doudou is a traditional apple from the Avesnois-Thiérache region, suitable for both fresh eating and cooking. Its lightly aromatic fruit has a pleasant balance of sweetness and acidity and generally keeps from November until January. The tree flowers late and can crop extremely heavily. Fruit thinning is recommended to maintain apple size and prevent repeated overloading of the branches.
