Belle Fleur Double apple tree produces large apples with a sweet, slightly sharp flavour. The taste is pleasant, and the fruit is well suited to several uses.
These apples are excellent for juice and culinary use, while also being suitable for fresh eating. Belle Fleur Double is also a very good variety for making apple paste.
The fruit is picked in October and can be eaten until early January.
Belle Fleur Double is not very sensitive to disease.
Flowering is late. It can be pollinated by Baguette Violette, Marie Doudou, Quarantaine d’Hiver, or any other good pollinating apple variety flowering at the same time.
Belle Fleur Double is also known as Belle Fleur de France. It is a very old variety, typical from Picardy through to Belgium.
This variety is fairly similar to Double Bon Pommier Rouge.
We produce this grafted apple tree on several rootstocks, which influence the final size of the mature tree. It is available in several tree forms depending on availability.
