Transparente de Lesdain apple tree produces crisp apples with a well-balanced ratio between sweetness and acidity.
The apples are picked in mid-September and can be stored for about one month.
This variety has very good disease resistance. It was selected with this quality in mind and comes from a seedling obtained from a cross between old apple varieties.
Flowering is mid-season. Transparente de Lesdain is a very good pollinator and can itself be pollinated by Gueule de Mouton, or by any other good pollinating apple variety flowering at the same time.
Transparente de Lesdain is a fairly recent Belgian variety, considered a useful replacement for Transparente de Croncels. It also shows very good, regular productivity from year to year.
We supply Transparente de Lesdain as a one-year maiden apple tree, available on several rootstocks depending on availability.
