Reinette Descardre is a good quality dessert apple. It is a late variety, ready for picking in late September, but unlike most late-season varieties it does not keep particularly well.
The apples have a firm flesh with a sweeet fruity flavor.
Reinette Descardre was raised in the 1820s by Benoit Descardre, a nurseryman from Chenee, near Liege in the French-speaking region of Wallonia in Belgium. It is found throughout Wallonia and also in neighbouring areas of northern France.
Next deliveries: January - February 2025
