Golden Pippin is a versatile traditional English apple. It can be used for eating fresh, and the apples have a pronounced fruity flavour with a hint of lemon.

The strong flavour also makes Golden Pippin an excellent variety for juicing, and the apples are useful in the kitchen for baking.

The apples ripen in late October but are best used within a few weeks as they do not keep.

Golden Pippin is one of the oldest apple varieties known in England, dating back to the 17th century.
