Golden Gem is ideal for smaller gardens seeking both an ornamental crab apple and additional blossom for orchard pollination. Its rounded crown remains relatively compact, while dense clusters of strongly scented white flowers attract insects in spring. Tiny yellow fruit follows the blossom. We recommend it mainly for its flowers and modest size rather than for any significant fruit use.
