Néhou is a benchmark Norman variety for rich, coloured and harmonious cider. Its bittersweet juice combines sugar, fine tannins and low acidity, adding structure and length to blends. The tree is hardy, productive and generally reliable, making it suitable for professional orchards. Its moderate acidity should nevertheless be complemented with a sharper variety when a fresher, more balanced cider is required.
