Hendre Huffcap is a respected English cultivar for producing light, refreshing and low-tannin perry. The tree crops reliably and is generally straightforward to grow. Its main weakness is precisely this abundance: overloaded branches may break and ripe fruit falls readily. Thinning in early summer therefore protects the tree and helps maintain more regular cropping.
