Alosza Cornelian cherry tree (Cornus mas) produces oval yellow cornelian cherries with a very tasty, mild and sweet flavour.
The fruit has a sugar level of around 12%, acidity of 1.4%, and is rich in vitamin C.
Alosza is suitable for a wide range of uses, from fresh eating to processing.
This variety ripens from early August and is among the earliest Cornelian cherries. Maturity is fairly even on the tree.
The tree is naturally resistant to diseases and crops very regularly from year to year.
Budbreak and flowering occur very early, but the flowers have excellent frost resistance.
Alosza is a very early Ukrainian variety.
We supply Alosza as a grafted Cornelian cherry tree on seedling rootstock, grown in pot as a one-year plant, with an average height of around 1.4 m.
