Cwastresse Double, also known as Calville des Vergers, is an old Walloon cultivar traditionally grown as a standard orchard tree. Its ribbed apples are crisp, juicy and distinctly fruity, making them excellent for fresh eating. We recommend it for Belgian fruit heritage collections and larger gardens. The vigorous tree needs space and is less suited to tightly restricted forms.
