Antonovka is a very old Russian apple variety, popular because of its reliable production even in the harhest winters. Antonovka 1.5 Pound, also known as Antonovka Deux Livres, is a sport variation which inherits the same qualities but the apples are much larger.
The apples are juicy and acidic, and ideal for use in the kitchen.
