De Floyon plum tree produces small yellow plums with juicy flesh, a very aromatic flavour and a slightly tart character.
The fruit is harvested in early August. The plum season can then continue with varieties such as Reine Claude Dorée and finish later with Goutte d’Or de Coe.
De Floyon shows very good disease resistance.
Flowering is mid-late. It pollinates well with Goutte d’Or de Coe, Reine Claude Rouge Hâtive, Sainte Catherine and other compatible plum varieties.
This plum tree has a bushy growth habit. It has traditionally been propagated from seed, and wild trees can still be found in its area of origin, growing in hawthorn hedges in the bocage landscape of Avesnois-Thiérache.
We produce this grafted plum tree on several rootstocks, which influence the final size of the mature tree. It is available in several tree forms depending on availability.
