Polonais suits relatively cool and continental climates when planted in a warm, sheltered position. It is a reliable home-orchard choice for gardeners seeking a hardy, productive and self-fertile apricot. The large fruit is melting, juicy and highly fragrant. As with any apricot, blossom can still be damaged by a severe late frost in an exposed site.
