Mediva apricot tree produces oval, bicoloured apricots with a very aromatic flavour and good eating quality.
The fruit reaches around 14° Brix. For the best flavour, Mediva apricots should be left to reach full maturity, when their quality becomes far superior to standard commercial apricots.
Harvest takes place during the second half of July.
Mediva has good hardiness against brown rot, a disease that can damage apricot blossom as severely as frost.
The variety is self-fertile. Flowering is late and abundant, which gives it useful advantages in areas exposed to spring frosts.
Mediva is a recent variety with strong production potential in humid areas and regions where spring frosts are a risk.
We supply Mediva as a maiden apricot tree, grafted on Myrobolan for better adaptation to moist soils, or on Montclar for drier soils depending on availability.
