Franquette walnut tree produces large, excellent-quality walnuts with a thin shell and kernels that are easy to extract.
This variety is grown for both Grenoble walnuts and Périgord walnuts.
Harvest takes place in October, and the nuts have good storage ability.
Franquette is not particularly sensitive to disease.
Budbreak is late, which gives the tree good potential to avoid late spring frosts.
This walnut tree is vigorous, productive, fertile and hardy.
We supply Franquette as a two-year plant, grafted on common walnut, Juglans regia.
