Splash is a pluot selected above all for its excellent eating quality. The small to medium red-orange fruit is round to slightly heart-shaped, with very sweet, juicy and well-balanced orange flesh. It is excellent fresh, dried or used in desserts. The upright tree becomes highly productive once established but requires a compatible Japanese plum or pluot for pollination.

Description

Splash Pluot Tree is an interspecific plum-apricot hybrid appreciated for its intensely sweet fruit and attractive orange-red skin. The medium-sized fruit develops juicy orange flesh with rich flavour and balanced sweetness.

This productive variety is known for its heavy cropping and ornamental appearance, with colourful fruit hanging densely on the tree during summer. Splash is excellent for fresh eating, desserts and drying.

Like other pluots developed from plum and apricot parentage, Splash combines the aromatic qualities of apricot with the texture and productivity of Japanese plum varieties. It is considered one of the most flavourful modern interspecific hybrids.
