Rumyanaya Zorka is a modern cold-hardy plum. The medium-sized fruits are a very pretty dark pink / crimson colour when ripe, with a yellow flesh.
It has a good reputation for being cold-hardy and tolerant of difficult spring weather, and capable of producing heavy crops.
It is also quite precocious and should start fruiting in the 3rd year after planting if using a semi-vigorous rootstock.
This variety is partially self-fertile. It will usually set a good crop on its own, but cropping may be improved if planted near to other Siberian plums, Myrobalan plums, cherry plums, or Japanese plums.
