Australian finger lime is best suited to containers, an unheated greenhouse or a very mild sheltered microclimate. We recommend it to keen cooks for its crisp acidic pearls and intensely aromatic peel. The shrub remains decorative and relatively compact. It is thorny, frost-sensitive and needs regular watering and feeding to grow and fruit well.
