Citrumelo CPB-4475 suits citrus grafters seeking a robust rootstock for acidic to neutral soil. It generally provides vigour, productivity and good tolerance of Phytophthora and several citrus diseases. We particularly recommend it for grapefruit and selected sweet oranges. Strong sensitivity to limestone can cause severe iron chlorosis, and graft compatibility must be checked for each citrus cultivar.

Dispatch generally takes place from late November to February, depending on the weather and the progress of lifting the trees.
Citrumelo 4475 is a tetraploid cold-hardy dwarfing citrus rootstock, mainly used for sweet oranges and grapefruit. It produces a grafted tree with a mature height of around 4m – 5m. It is cold-hardy to around -12C.
Tetraploid citrus rootstocks are thought to be more tolerant of water stress and nutrient deficiencies than diploid citrus rootstocks.
These rootstocks are bio-certified, and raised from seed. The rootstocks are naturally thorny, but this does not affect the scion variety.
