Red Foxwhelp is an old English apple for powerful and strongly distinctive cider. Its bittersharp juice combines tannin, high acidity and abundant sugar, sometimes developing an attractive pink colour and high potential alcohol. We recommend it mainly for blending, where it adds strength, freshness and length. The fruit drops when ripe and should be collected promptly to prevent rapid deterioration or rot.
