Miel Noir gooseberry bush produces abundant black gooseberries, as its name suggests. The berries are large, very juicy and pleasantly aromatic, with a good balance between sweetness and acidity.
At full maturity, this variety reaches a good sugar level. It is best to let the fruit ripen fully to obtain the most flavour and sweetness.
Harvest takes place during the first half of July. The berries can be eaten fresh when fully ripe and are especially enjoyable for their sweet, juicy character.
Miel Noir has very good overall disease resistance. Its thorns also help provide some protection against browsing animals.
This variety is self-fertile, so a single plant is enough to produce fruit.
We supply Miel Noir gooseberry as a bush, with several branches starting from the base of the plant.
