Menhir is the ginkgo to choose where width is restricted rather than height. Its habit remains remarkably narrow, with grey-green to blue-green leaves turning golden yellow in autumn. This male cultivar does not produce the unpleasant-smelling fruit associated with female ginkgoes. It works particularly well beside entrances or in avenues, but can still grow several metres tall.
