Leonard is intended for anyone who enjoys exceptionally mild, fragrant mulberries. Its dull-red fruit develops a distinctive fig-like aroma when fully ripe, with very little acidity, and can be harvested over several weeks in July. It is excellent for eating directly from the tree. Growers wanting more freshness or fruit capable of travelling should choose a firmer, more tangy cultivar.
