Isabelle is an exceptionally vigorous and easy American grape, ideal for rapidly covering a pergola or sunny wall. Its dark grapes develop a pronounced wild-strawberry aroma and suit fresh eating, juice and jelly. The vine offers strong disease resistance and good winter hardiness. Ripening is fairly late in cooler regions, however, and its distinctive labrusca flavour will not appeal to every palate.
