Palatina is an excellent Hungarian table grape for northern European gardens. Its large, loose bunches carry golden-yellow berries with sweet, fruity and gently Muscat-flavoured flesh and only a few small seeds. Early ripening and strong disease resistance make it reliable in sunny, airy positions. In humid or shaded sites, however, ripe bunches can become vulnerable to rot.

It originates from Hungary and comes from a cross between Reine des Vignes, also known as Königin der Weingärten, and Villard Blanc, also known as Seyve Villard 12-375.
