As the plants are seed-grown, individual rootstocks will not provide perfectly uniform vigour. We would also check long-term compatibility before producing a large batch of an unusual or little-tested cultivar.

Dispatch generally takes place from late November to February, depending on the weather and the progress of lifting the trees.
Morus alba rootstock, or white mulberry rootstock, is used for grafting mulberry trees, including Morus alba, Morus nigra, Morus rubra and Morus alba × rubra hybrids.
It is a hardy rootstock with no major disease issues noted, and good resistance to winter cold.
Like many species, young plants can be affected by spring frosts, but they are able to regrow after frost damage.
Morus alba can also be grown as an ornamental tree in the garden, with large leaves that may be entire or deeply cut depending on the plant.
It can be useful in a poultry run, as the fruits fall to the ground and are appreciated by poultry. The fruits can also be eaten, although their flavour quality is variable.
For strong growth, this rootstock benefits from watering, feeding and keeping the base free from weed competition.
