Pêche de Moncheaux has genuine heritage value for orchards in northern France. Its attractive, two-coloured peaches have white flesh and are picked progressively over around ten days centred on mid-August. Eating quality varies between seasons but is generally good and exceptionally juicy. We would plant it for its regional history and adaptation.

De Moncheaux peach tree is a good, juicy peach variety traditionally grown in northern France.
It was for a long time the only peach variety widely distributed by the regional conservatory.
Harvest takes place around mid-August.
De Moncheaux is sensitive to peach leaf curl, but tolerates it well and produces healthy new foliage after the first attack.
Like all peach trees, it can be affected by spring frosts, although the tree itself is resistant to winter cold. For more regular cropping, plant it in a sunny, sheltered position, ideally near or against a wall in cooler regions.
We graft and train our peach trees in the nursery, in open ground. They are then supplied bare-root, in several tree forms and on different rootstocks depending on availability.
