Harvest usually begins in late July or early August. Relatively low susceptibility to several diseases adds to its value without removing the need for monitoring. We would choose it for both fresh eating and preserves.

The stone separates well from the flesh, making the fruit suitable for fresh eating, jams, compotes, pastries and other culinary uses.
Charles Roux is a self-fertile variety with good vigour and a semi-spreading habit. It generally ripens from late July to early August depending on local climate conditions.
This variety is also valued for its relative resistance to peach leaf curl, monilia, shot-hole disease and late spring frosts, making it an interesting choice for traditional orchards and gardens.
