Reine des Vergers is a late peach we would choose primarily for its aroma. Its large red, often two-coloured fruit has juicy, melting and slightly tangy flesh, offering greater complexity than many modern, exceptionally sweet cultivars. Harvest takes place in September, so a warm, bright position is valuable. Fully ripe fruit is excellent but delicate and unsuitable for prolonged storage.
