Montclar

Montclar Peach Rootstock is a peach seedling rootstock widely appreciated for peaches, nectarines and apricots. It provides balanced to strong vigour, good productivity and reliable compatibility with many stone fruit varieties.

Compared to GF677, Montclar generally induces slightly lower vigour while encouraging early cropping and good fruit production. It is particularly valued for orchard planting on well-drained virgin soils and is commonly used for apricot cultivation.

Montclar also shows good adaptation to calcareous soils and relatively good tolerance to chlorosis, making it a versatile rootstock for a wide range of growing conditions.
