Osmanthus heterophyllus, also known as Holly Osmanthus, is an attractive evergreen shrub appreciated for its glossy holly-like foliage and highly fragrant autumn flowering.
From September to November, the shrub produces masses of small white flowers with a powerful sweet fragrance that perfumes the surrounding air. The flowers are also highly attractive to pollinators at a time of year when floral resources become scarce.
This slow-growing ornamental shrub naturally develops a dense rounded habit, eventually reaching around 3 metres in height and width. Its evergreen foliage provides year-round structure and ornamental value in gardens and landscape planting.
Our Osmanthus heterophyllus plants are container-grown in our nursery, as evergreen shrubs do not tolerate bare-root cultivation well.
