Dawn Redwood

Dawn Redwood is a remarkable deciduous conifer appreciated for its elegant habit and soft bright green foliage. Unlike most conifers, it loses its leaves in winter, before developing attractive bronze and copper tones in autumn.

Metasequoia glyptostroboides is a fast-growing tree well suited to large gardens, parks and landscape planting. Its straight trunk and feathery foliage give it a graceful appearance throughout the growing season.

Originally considered extinct and rediscovered in China during the 20th century, the Dawn Redwood has become a highly valued ornamental tree for temperate climates.
