Palatina grapevine produces golden white grapes with a very fruity, sweet flavour and a slight muscat note.
The bunches are large and loose, making Palatina an excellent white table grape.
This variety is one of the most resistant grapevines, with resistance to downy mildew and powdery mildew.
Harvest takes place from the second half of August to mid-September, depending on the desired sugar level and the season.
Budbreak and flowering are fairly late, helping the vine avoid late spring frosts.
Palatina is a vigorous variety with an upright growth habit.
It originates from Hungary and comes from a cross between Reine des Vignes, also known as Königin der Weingärten, and Villard Blanc, also known as Seyve Villard 12-375.
This variety is quite widely used by professional growers establishing vineyards in regions that are not traditionally wine-growing areas.
We supply Palatina as a grafted grapevine plant, bare-rooted and of professional quality.
