Solaris is a benchmark white grape for juice and wine production in cool climates. Very early, vigorous and disease resistant, it accumulates high sugar levels and produces aromatic, fruity juice. The grapes can be eaten fresh, although their main value lies in winemaking rather than as a large table grape. Some disease monitoring remains advisable during exceptionally wet seasons.

Solaris grapevine produces fairly loose bunches of white grapes with a very fruity and sweet flavour.
The grapes are very good for fresh eating and also produce a highly aromatic juice. Solaris is also used for wine production in Germany and Belgium.
This variety has good disease resistance. Some disease may appear in the most difficult years, but Solaris remains a fairly resistant grapevine overall.
Harvest takes place in September.

Solaris is a vigorous variety, bred from crosses involving American grapevine genetics, which contributed to its disease resistance.
