Coxford hazelnut tree produces medium-sized, elongated hazelnuts with firm, aromatic kernels.
This is a very productive variety. Harvest takes place from late September to October.
Hazelnut is naturally a resistant species, with no particular disease sensitivity noted in the source text.
Flowering is late. Coxford is self-sterile and wind-pollinated. It is pollinated by Merveille de Bollwiller, and also pollinates it in return, making the two varieties a good pairing.
We supply Coxford as a two-year hazelnut plant. In the nursery, hazelnuts are trained as a single stem, which is useful if you want to form a standard tree. If you prefer a multi-stemmed bush, the plant can naturally produce shoots from the base.
