MM111 is a popular semi-vigorous rootstock for apple trees, compatible with all varieties of apples. It produces a mature tree with a height between 4m - 5m. No staking is required. Fruit production should start after about 4 years.
MM111 can be used for producing large bush-trained apple trees, half-standards, and large fans or espaliers. The trees should be planted 4m - 5m apart.
The MM111 rootstock has a reputation for tolerating drought once established - although for best results irrigation is always worth considering in drier climates.
Rootstocks are usually 8-10mm grade, the best size for grafting. Please order by January for delivery in February - March. If you wish to order a large number of rootstocks please contact us.
