Growing and Training

St. Julien A produces a mature tree with a height between 3m - 5m, and fruit production should start at the age of 3-4 years. No staking is required once the tree is established.

Trees should be planted 3.5m - 4.5m apart.

St. Julien A can be used for large plum bushes, half-standards, and large plum fans.

Its cold-hardiness is not known but is likely to be USDA zone 6 or 7 - approximately -20C.
