Bittenfelder is a cold-hardy fully vigorous standard rootstock for apple trees, compatible with all apple varieties.
Bittenfelder produces a mature tree with a height 5m - 6m or more. Fruit production should start at the age of 4-5 years. No staking is required once the tree is established.
Trees grafted on Bittenfelder should be planted 5m - 7m apart.
Rootstocks are usually 8-10mm grade, the best size for grafting. Please order by January for delivery in February - March. If you wish to order a large number of rootstocks please contact us.
